Lt. Col. Francis Thomas
Lieutenant Colonel Francis Thomas enlisted in the Belize
Defence Force on the 23 January 1988.He completed his initial offers training
at Colonel Ulrich Pilgrim Academy, Guyana. He has been trained in the USA at
the School of Infantry in Forth Benning, Georgia: the Army Ranger course,
Infantry Captain Career Course, Instructor training Course and Command and
General Staff College. In the United Kingdom
he attended School of infantry completing Platoon Commanders Battle Course and
the Combine Arms Tactics Course. He has held a variety of important position
including Force Operation Officer, Reserve Force Training Officer, Commanding
Officer First Infantry Battalion, Host Nation Logistics Liaison Officer and
Senior Military Liaison Officer to Ministry of Defence. Lieutenant Colonel Francis Thomas military
award include Good Conduct and Long Service Medal, Ranger Tab, Expert
Infantryman’s Badge, Infantry Instructor Badge and Jungle Warfare Instructor
Badge.
